Prolia Infusions - Save lots of $$ with Part B not Part D...  Here's how:

Many times I hear clients who are told by their physicians that they must use Medicare Part D at the pharmacy for Prolia.  Then they bring the medication into the office for administering.  This may cost you $1,200 if the doctor is not able to file it under Medicare Part B as an infusion medication, when it could be FREE under Medicare Part B if you have already paid the deductible.  However, many doctor office's are not equiped to file that medication under Part B.  Here's how to do it:

* First, you must have Original Medicare and a supplement plan not a Medicare Advantage Plan (see below if you have an advantage plan).

* Have the doctor write an order for you to an Infusion Clinic (Weatherford and Fort Worth options are below).

*  Go to the Infusion Clinic.  They will administer and probably not charge you a dime.

If you have a Medicare Advantage plan, the procedure will be listed as an Outpatient Surgery.  See you plan info for the co-pay.  However, the clinic must be in-network and accept your Advantage Plan.
