Prolia Infusion Medication - How to get you Doctor to file it with Part B Medicare.

More and more I hear of Doctor offices insisting you pick up the Prolia at the Pharmacy and bring it to the office for administering.  If this is the process, it may cost you $1,200 every 6 months using your Part D plan.  Well, here is how you can get Prolia as a Part B medication, and pay nothing more than the annual Part B deductible:

*  You must be on Original Medicare with a Medicare Supplement Plan F, G or N.  (If on a G HD plan, you may pay 20%.)

* Have the doctor send an order for a Prolia infusion to a local infusion clinic.  Clinics in the Weatherford and Fort Worth area are below...

If you are on a Medicare Advantage plan, then the procedure will be billed as an Outpatient Surgery if the Infusion Clinic accepts your plan.  Check you benefits to see your Outpatient Surgery co-pay.
